Good German WW2 8mm barrel "dfb" for mg42

Post by hakentt »

WW2 German 8mm barrel for MG42, looks like it has seen Stalingrad front lines and some snow. Barrel has strong rifling and it shines but it has rust spots in it. Barrel outside surface has seen some rust and minor pitting, has a marking "MW (dfb 9 in the shield) dfb" then two eagles with "Waa44" markings, camming section has markings "AG (dfb 12 in the shield)" and also one eagle is visable. I've shot some romanian ammo trough this barrel and it works fine. Asking $200 money order, PM me.

Note: The MG-42 was never at Stalingrad, despite the fuzzy, indistinct photos that the web history experts offer as "proof".

Yeah I can imagine, they use the same "proof" for Holocaust. What I was saying is that barrel looks like its been trough some rough time.

There is no screw in the mg42 barrel. The parts are threaded, and then 'staked' to prevent movement. It looks in the picture that he is wearing the 'HEER' uniform, not the Nazi one. ---bil
