They are 100% aluminum and non firing.
They look and appear to be unassembled parts.
I tried gently to fit the parts in them to take a photo - but the rear was super snug, and so was the barrel and gas tube holes.
I imagine they can be opened up with a little TLC, I did not want to do this simply for a pic - they would make a very solid dummy gun.

I will trade these for original MP44 parts - specifically saw cut receiver parts or whole trunion.
