Got this one in the door this evening!
Previous owner has dissasembled it for renovation! This is a 1939 dated Lafette 34 in original panzergray, with brown factory applied camouflage, but it has been repainted by the Norwegian army. Previous owner has come a long way in removing the OD, but some work is left for the new owner! (This one should not meet the faith of the sand-blaster....)
Looking for a caring home!
Note that 1939 Lafette has no deflector tray for spent shells! Original leather pads. No modifications, no damage.
Asking $ 2500,- + postage. Paypal accepted.

You are right-this one should stay as original as possible! Nice!

Re: MG34 lafette FS
Are the pads leather? Are they original? Is all the hardware and small parts marked? If so, are they marked with all the same manufacture?
Re: MG34 lafette FS
Will post some more pictures tonight!
Yes, the pads are original (and leather). This is a original Lafette manufactured in 1939, and from what I can see of the original paintwork saw little use before the end of the war. postwar it was repainted by the Norwegian army, and that has helped to preserve the original paint underneath from more wear!
All parts are marked as they should be for a 1939 manufactured Lafette!

Note how the green eloxed aluminium looks MINT underneath that OD.

Re: MG34 lafette FS
Not trying to hijack this for sale ad... Which the pictures show to be a great mg34 tripod...
But several folks have asked how to tell a reworked lafette tripod. The mg34/mg42 book talks about the shock absorber support. The 3rd picture down in the second picture set shows what a mg34 shock absorber support should look like. Something to think about.
Also would like to buy this tripod but not enough krones lying around. Or dollars.... Or euro's, well have enough of those but if the wife found out I spend our European vacation money....
They might have a new target at the creek to shoot at, my hide that is....
Nice lafette in the making.....

The Lafette is no longer available, and will be on it's way to a happy owner very soon.
