What did you get for Christmas?

Just about anything goes but no MG42 or MG34 talk.

I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far

Santa dropped off a PTR44 (MP44), a SSR MP40P, a PPSH41 AA-Arms SR41 and a Thompson 1927a3 pistol. So I am as happy as can be. Harry

My Mother died two weeks before Christmas, so things were somber at the family dinner party.
She had gifts stashed away in the closet with names on them. A sad way to say goodbye.

Not our best Christmas...

I hope my part of the X-Mas "Thread" doesn't detract from the spirit of the Holidays.......nor of DA's challanges over X-Mas with his loss.

DA,
Not to take away from your loss....and my condolances go out to you and yours......

I can relate to something similar.......
.....for X-Mas, I received Notification/Test-Results that my Cancer has started back out of remission........Ohhhh, the "joys" of three Combat Tours in VietNam and Cambodia in the "bush" and "Agent-Orange" to bring back with me.
Wasn't bad enough, the Heart-Attack (IHD/CAD/stents) at the beginning of the year 2013. Yep.....30+ years serving our Country..........
I refused to tell my family prior to the Holidays.......wouldn't mess up their Holidays to worry about me for anything.......there will be time to talk with them later, after I find out more from the VA Doctors.
.....on a more positive note, I'm still here where a lot of my old US Army friends are no longer with me. This old "Grunt" ain't going easy....you suck-up the pain and keep moving forward, never give up.

My thoughts are to spend time with Family......spend your other free time helping them and friends, and doing things that you love to do. Always plan your affairs early so they (family) don't have to mess with it.
I feel lucky to have know my 13-grandkids and one great-grand-daughter..,...along with a great/tollerable wife and our six-childern.

I consider you all my friends.

Best regards,
RichardS in Bay City, MI.

Far from it, Richard. It's a part of life, losing family to age. Didn't mean to dampen the spirits here ('cuz that yellow corvette is ONE FINE automobile!)

We all keep on living and enjoying the blessings from God we are given.

Richard,

I will say a prayer at Mass for you and your family. God Bless.

Darivs,

I understand. I lost my grandmother Christmas day years ago. I'll say a prayer at Mass for you and your family. GOD BLESS.

Ah yes , I looked in the car for one of those PTR44 but my luck wasn't that good. Give us a review with some pics of your new toys.

First DA, sorry to hear of your loss;
BlanksGuy I wish you the best of luck with your endeavors (and thank you for your service);
Messerschmidtfan, you did well, and yes please let us know how they do;
And SALT you win the door prize. That is one purty ride, the convertible is such a class act.
