I built my first parts kit in '03 (That's 2003 not 1903). A 1919A4 parts kit. It was alot of fun to build and educational at the same time. I started on 1919A4.com and they were alot of help. I started on MG42 early this year because I want to build a MG42. I bought a Y53 parts kit but I have to put it on hold for awhile because the money locker is low.
Hope everybody gets to build a MG42,

Yeah it's a real pain. The good thing is I got to spent more time here looking up stuff to work on my 42 kit.

I'd say I'm here from there, but honestly, I was a member here as "dagobert" before I visited 1919a4.com so I am comfortable with both. 8) But it will be nice to see the site back up and running again there, too.

It's me; larger than life and twice as ugly! I just swapped names so that I could be consistent from one board to the next, since some other boards have screen name filters that appearantly don't like the "dago" in Dagobert (despite the fact that the name is NOT a racial slur; it's the name of a Merovingian king from the 700's who was tied up with the Grail legends- another hobby of mine) so i went with "Pvt.Joker" as I am a fan of Full Metal Jacket, and it also fit my sense of humor... 8)

Hello JOker!!!

funny you have to explain your names everywhere you go!!! LOL

BilL: both sites will be returning.

1919a4 is getting a new server host and some changes (s0 im told)

shoot1919a4: is just installing a "new look" board and some format changes and will be back SOON in an expanded form with some extra features, content and looking to expand.

hope this helps for anyone worried. :D

Does this mean you guys will desert us in a week or so? These sites get to be like a favorite coffee shop, each has its own 'gang',but sometimes you have to get a change before returning to the usual haunts. Glad to hear they aren't gone, just getting better. ---bil
