My posts being reworded

Post by oakrodent »

I have been noticing that the posts I have been leaving have been changed from what I have original posted.Has anybody else noticed it? I know for a fact they are being edited and reworded. I would rather have them deleted than changed. Can somebody please tell me why?

Does someone have your password? Change that and see what happens. Good Luck...

Nobody has it. Somebody reworded my post and made it softer and more friendly I guess. Still uncalled for in my books. I am seriously thinking of asking to be removed from this forum.

Do ya think Leitner-Wise cracked your password? What with all the bashing you gave them, they'd be prime suspects...

What sort of word changes have been occuring? Please provide an example.

Drooling Idiot said he was the one who made a few small changes. I wasn't clear that the Wise Lite is 1" longer, not the M-53, he didn't want to post my mistake so he changed it. I would much rather be made fun of than having something changed. The dead give-away was the way I word certain phrases had been changed to something I would never say. The post was under the thread: Newbie - Questions on MG42 ownership I wouldn't have typed " closely related but not the same thing" I typed (close, but not the same) And there were some slight other changes. I guess it is the same as sub titles when somebody with a really bad Southern drawl. I just don't like the idea of having something changed around, just delete it or make fun of me, I don't care.

I don't think I hurt Wise Lite's sales of their S/A M-53s. Some reason cheap wins  even over fingers

I don't think any of the moderators here would alter anyone's posts out of malice. (Bil has given me plenty of temptation though).
