I don't have a belt loader yet. Probably should start thinking about getting one but don't need a box now. Thanks for the offer.

Superb work of art/craftsmanship. In 100 yrs from now it will be difficult to tell from an original!!! Out of interest the wooden MG08 ammo box has the same latch I think. Could be worth exploring as there are always plenty of those ammo boxes floating around.

Forgive me as I know this is an 'old'ish' thread.
I still do look for a complete (Imperial only) Belt loader set but I also have 2 ''strange'' feedblock conversions. I have posted before but will re-list.
If anybody has a complete belt loader set could they send me images direct or here so that at least I can understand what constitutes a complete set - mark.finneran@hotmail.co.uk
Huge thanks.

Hi Matt,

You may want to see if IMA has some handles, as they got these loaders and a pile of parts when they got the turk stuff. It's very likely they have a handle in there somewhere, if they'll look!

I dont know the names but here are the items. You already know what the box looks like so I didnt see a need to post that. Sorry the gauge on the right in the second pic is hard to make out. For some reason this site is trimming the pics down.

The boxes look good. I like the leather handle. My box has a cloth type (whatever that stuff the germans used late wwi is called) and I broke it like a dumbass. I have another one coming with another maxim package I have on transfer and I am not sure which type of handle it has.
I would be all over one if I needed a box. These are nicely done.

Ha ha. That is a perfect example of a project that I paid myself nothing for doing and it still cost me an arm and a leg. :)

See-even when the economy is bad, there is always a place for a small sideline business! Keeps going and there will be more call for MGs and assessories! These boxes are really a work of art.Just consider that during the war they were churning these things out en mass.Hardwood, brass, leather, very nice. Not like throw-away stuff we get now! Glad to see this section of the forum really taking off,I may have to get one of these guns just to keep up! ---bil
