Maxim Sled Leather Pads

Post by Roscoeturner »

In some older threads I found mention of reproduction sled pads but never saw a reference to who was making them. Any know of a current source for these?

Thanks

Nothing on the market at this time. Nothing...

Better look to leave as is or have made locally.

I have someone that can duplicate them if he had a pattern to go by. He manufacturers museum quality leather reproductions and having looked at photos said it would be no problem to make them.

I have asked the German Army Museum in Koblenz for the pattern but they did not have it. If someone was crazy enough to disassemble an existing one then voila!
Whoever was going to do this would certainly do rather well!

I work in the reproduction business and you can bet if the opportunity comes up I will disassemble one for a pattern.
