MG15 air cooled shroud.

Post by pitfighter »

Hi Guys,

I have been looking for about two years now with no luck, so...

I am having my builder construct a one off air cooled shroud from scratch -

Does anyone have an armorers plan/drawing, with some sizes on it?

Or, perhaps know where there is one, on-line - or in a scan'able format?

Thank you!

Pit
Talk to jbaum about his manual that he has for sale. If you can't find anything then he might have a great manual with what you are looking for in it.

Roll down till you find
MG 15 Operator's Manual - WW2 Military Issue

email or pm me to make sure that the 128 manual has what you are looking for in it.

Thanks Rocker - I have a quite a few of the good member Baum's manuals, now, and they are awesome!
(MP44 in the stock of my MP44, Lafette, '42 and MP40 translated manuals.)

But, it is the dimensions of the MG15 shroud I need in MMs or inches - I'll get them, I had hoped to get an original shroud, but something has happened to parts kits and they have become extraordinarily expensive.

I have a watercooled st61 jacket with bipod and leather fastener to trade, lol.

Got one - had it sent to my .07 builder - and it fits, will need minor retro fitting -
Need a booster and end cap - and then ground mount system.
(Water cooled muzzle end needs to be lathed to fit - some hard metal BTW )

Pictures to follow.

Will be keeping the water-cooled jacket monstrosity - could work deep background on a world war one movie, I have done one in twenty years, :)
