MG 08 cylinder water can?

Post by dwmmg08 »

Has anyone ever tried to make a copy of the MG 08 cylindrical water can, the early water can for the NGO eight? This would be the first pattern water cannon that was out early in World War I.

I would ask "Rick-Keller" possible who he sold his MG08 to from his collection (?).....the Great-War-Militaria Museum (when it was still active, I believe had one of these steam-condensation-cylinders.

If not.....possibly ask Hays Otopalic at the Museum in Bosie, Idaho if he has one that he could photograph for you and take measurements (?)...a pssible option (?).

PS:
Last......I know Okla. is far from the WWI reenactment site in PA.....but these WWI reenactment groups have "collectors in their groups.....look on the web for those WWI German renecating Groups here and in England......someone may have this item and coupld e-mail you clear digital photos and measurements so that you could have 1-2-3 of these made (?)....then sell off the extras to help pay for the one that you want.....(?)....just ideas.
