Just bought a zf-12 scope and would like to see if any of you have seen them by J.D. Moeller of Wedel. This one was dated 1937 on the case and case was also marked J.D. Moller. Now the devils paintbrush has ( The firm of J.D. Moeller of Wedel also made a smaller number of Busch-pattern optic sights. The only example observed was serially numbered 2498." - Goldsmith). This one is number2212. it is one of the best I have seen. Since Goldsmith's book is over 20 years old, I would like to know if this is now 1 of 2 known.

Thats the only one I have seen. I watched this one go off... you paid a pretty Penny
1937 sounds about right... as its clearly not WWI. 1937 is almost a bit late consider almost everything maxim I see seems to be 1936.

This was also made for the MG34. Considering the maker and condition, it was not a crazy amount.
Re: ZF12 Scope by J. D. Moeller of Wedel
Were these used on the lafette mounts for the '34 or '42?
Re: ZF12 Scope by J. D. Moeller of Wedel
There was an adapter to make them fit but you don't see it often and you don't see them often in historical pictures. Some real early MG34 lafettes... thats about it.blckwlfny wrote:Were these used on the lafette mounts for the '34 or '42?
