Because you boys all seem to be locating and purchasing everything I am forced to go and sit in the garden with my 2 dummies. Nice day yesterday so took some pictures. Now all I need is a wooden soldier or two.

Well a quick look and they look good. Add another 50 feet and a wooden soldier or two and they might look great.
Enjoy and hope that you get the real stuff someday (if you want it that is)

Your a war to late with the Nazi Helmet!

I often wonder if these were for training or if they were for decoys? I mean if the Brits are going to find MGs and bound them with Artillery, why not let them find these? I don't see how they would be that useful for training other than as a place holder in maneuvers but for actualy gun training, they would be fairly worthless???

Hello,
found this pic in my oicture Collection,

shows a wodden 08/15

back with writing

dated september 1917
pictured is a group odf Gunners who had a
MG-course / Training in Waulsort..
Waulsort is a small town in Begium, 10 km far from Dinant
The postage Stamp is not complet, so the MG-Unit is nit known..

Writer of the letter is:
MG Unteroffizier Carl Reifenberger,
2. Lehrkompanie

Lockl like the wodden examples of 08/15 are used for training..

Greetings
