Quality seemingly gets worse with each batch , but still these are at a good price! I remember back when I got interested in M53 kits, they were worth more than 1919a4 izzy kits at around $400 or so. It's nice to see these offered at such a good price!352pi wrote:im thinkin these are cut real short

I have to wonder since WLA is not doing builds at the moment if that may be a reason why they are not holding on and decided to dump them, likely a rough bored barrel included, but still a good price and Centerfire has always been good to me

Thanks for the heads up about the kits being back.
I didn't think they would have ran out the first time...but they sure did and I found myself without a kit.

Re: mg42 back in stk
ok guys---i went ahead a bought a kit
it came in yesterday---here's what i got
the kit was packed in heavy cosmoline---the shrould/barrel/bipod a-were all together and then a big bag of parts,
the first thing i noticed was the caming section of the rece still attached (all the way back to the d shaped cutout)---wow did i get lucky
the barrel was dark---but i expected that----after about 5 min with a cleaning rod---much better---not shinny but useable
all of the parts were yugo except the bipod which is german wwii---yugo crest on top cover
all of the rece internal parts are there --including the buffer locking tabs
i am pleased with this kit----i am really happy that the caming section is there----if i build this kit---i will only need the rear rece and the frt bearing
overall i grade this as :a- the barrel is why it did not rece an a+
like smokinggun and 352pi wrote ---i was real worried about the breach end being cut short---but again--I THINK I GOT LUCKY
just wanted to pass along the info

Ok, just talked to Pam at Centerfire and she said that they only have about 7 kits left in stock...
Did not ask if they might get more, but...
Later 42rocker
Last time they got in about 1000 kits got down to 200 kits and someone bought them all out one shot..

I got my kit on monday, same as described above by waffendude. my kit didnt come with a bbl tho, so i had to email centerfire and ask for it, which they quickly replied and said it was on its way, sorry for the inconvenience. only german marked piece was the bipod, everything else is yugo. Pretty decent deal if you ask me.
