I'm in the process of gathering all my parts for my semi Mg-42 build. Is there any difference between the Wise Lite and the Brp 100% rear receiver sections? Is one preferred over the other? Why?
Thanks!

Re: Wise Lite Vs BRP Rear Receiver section
edit misread: didnt see 100%. Wiselite are longer in the cam, and buffer areas i believe

So, does the extra length make for a better semi auto? My build will be a dedicated .308 gun and I am considering using an MG3 buffer and recuperator.Michael J wrote:edit misread: didnt see 100%. Wiselite are longer in the cam, and buffer areas i believe
Re: Wise Lite Vs BRP Rear Receiver section
extra length in the camming area is to compensate for the yugo m53 barrel shrouds being cut near the rear sight base. Longer length in the back , to the best of my knowledge, doesnt benefit you really, but does require you to buy or turn on a lathe, a buffer extension.
Re: Wise Lite Vs BRP Rear Receiver section
That would explain the buffer extention that wise lite uses, interesting.
Re: Wise Lite Vs BRP Rear Receiver section
That is so the full-length spring can be used, rather that cutting one.The extra doesn't show much, but I have seen posts that say it makes it a bit too long for the original lafette mount. ---bil
