Here is an idea for a BHO that I implemented on my 42 build. Simple, looks like it belongs and releases easily with the thumb. Welded on a small hooked extension and tab and a block on the ratchet plate for it to grab.

Hey that is pretty slick , sure beats the usual method of stuffing a wooden dowel down from the top of the receiver

Veeery interesting!
Re: Bolt hold open
Brilliant! I see that's a "real" receiver. Are you able to show the 'money shot' of the serial number markings? You could cover up some of the numbers if need be. Especially nice stock, a true piece of history. Thanks...Phil

Here ya go. No biggie. Its an early IMA cut rear with an m53 front half. Tried to weld and keep the waffens intact. Theres a weld very close to the arz waffen in the pic. Ive got some minor things to add. Rivet heads where there are holes. Chose to weld a few things. Fired a belt this weekend ran great with 70s romanian. No split cases good ejection and about 4 inches at 50yds lol.

Thanks for the close-up. I know how close to the inscription they torch them. Nice job of welding to preserve the details....Phil
