This is my first m53 build so I'm differing to the experts as on how to proceed. Should I weld the 2 halfs together first or lay out the rivit holes and cam cuts first. This is a brp reciver repair kit with a serges m53 parts kit.
Thank you all inadvance.

Re: Weld first or lay out holes
Most of the builds weld the rear halfs together first then plan out and weld the front and rear together then finish out from there.
Several plans that might help

Quick someone pass the Argon. As you know you need Argon to make good strong welds. Remember as they say small area then move to another small area. Don't try to weld up long stretches as distortion happens. Small areas work great.
