Re: might be buying a FA MG42 need advice
Update, Went over my friends house with the MG42 and took it apart. The bolt 90 % of the time will not stay back, the bolt lugs on the bottom looked ok (Is a parked bolt marked AR a rare bolt ? ) I believe the trigger assy bolt catch is worn, its kind off worn at the top and maybe the spring is weak...

Re: Longer Trip Levers/ Sears, got 'em!
I am wondering if this extended lever could be the answer to the horriable trigger pull on the tnw Mg34. If you could shorten the trigger bar so the moon shape lever hits the trip lever more aft that would give the trip lever a more mechanical advantage thus requiring a lighter trigger pull , howeve...

Supposely they just done with my bren receiver and its on the way, and that was a ordeal too, they lost the very back section of it and luckly I found another for about 30.00 $ We'll see if the wait and ...

Re: might be buying a FA MG42 need advice
YES,
Finally got a picture posted , had to shrink it down. Its my first belt fed. A matching semi # dfb 41 Mg34 with a matching 41 dated tripod. even had TNW stamp the receiver with the same numbers and had extra (birdies) put on it. still working out the bugs in it when I get time

Re: Century/Wiselite M53 Sa recieved today

You know the one with the compresion bandages and such for bullet wounds . Never thought I would actually use it. I got the bleeding stoped and ke...

Yes, clean your gun RIGHT away, I say within 24 hrs, or ATLEAST spray some sort of cleaner down the bore and bolt untill you can clean it right. I once fired three rifle grenades out of a garand and forgot to clean the gun for about 3-4 months, the barrel was DESTROYED !! I just fired three grenade ...
