Hi Javi,
a very nice deac job. I wish some of mine were as good as that.
What you call the barrel we call the barrel shroud. and what you call the cannon we call the barrel. I hope that helps clear any confusion.

Re: Need some pictures of original WWII MG42 buttstocks

Jens, box it up and go to the post office and get an actual price. I bet it is not even close to $180. The items (stuff sounds a bit iffy) I have sent to the US have been about $40 region for similar weight items.

Yours certainly looks genuine. I found this pic on my computer and it shows the difference clearly. I think it was from pirates build tutorial. Oh and it is Yugo left and German right.

just remembered about this site. http://www.militaryantiqueshop.com/index.php?cat=i they have an mg34 for 2000euros and it has post war aluminium grips. So makes yours look a good price.

Re: MG42/53 Markings

they are the newer ones and the M53 fits lovely.

Bil the girlfriend still hates them with a passion. I had them all out on the floor a few days ago and even I had to admit it did look like a terrorist arms dump but a terrorist with great taste in guns ;)

They are all deactivated :(

Re: MG42/53 Markings

Stephenrc45 post a few more pics of your M53. I think what you have is an M53 with some German parts on it, the bipod for instance is similar to my MG42. Is the WaA on the receiver the only German marking on it? On the subject of fake MG42s, I doubt that anyone is faking MG42s in the UK for several ...

Re: MG34 opinions please

That is a really nicely marked up MG34 you have there. Don't worry about the top cover, do what I did and get another one, http://www.egun.de is a good place to look. Nice stock very similar to the new one I got for mine. My one had a crack half way around it so I bought a new one on ebay. The metal...

Re: MG 34 "SAW CUT" penny Sale

those slings look a bit questionable to me. They are far too crisp and clear, almost as if they were done yesterday. I bought my slings from Bergflak and they are really good, all marked up but you have to look for them as they are worn, as they should be. And if you sell something with no reserve t...

Re: A 1941 dated byf MG42?

That is so faked! The relic MG42 I had a while back, that I saw recently sell for £500 grr not what I sold it for, had very little left in the serial number area apart from a very faint 44. That one looks like it has been filled with weld and re-stamped then "aged". Notice that the rivet in the pic...

Hi Stephen,

post some pics of of your gun and we can let you know what you have. If you need to compare I have an MG42 and an M53 so I can do a side by side comparison.

Re: Receiver marking question?

Hi Michael J I hope this helps, quoting from Folke Myrvang's book "Styre began marking its 1944 production "bnz PJ", then later that year switched to its newly assigned contractor code "swj PJ"." The c at the end of your serial number just indicates that the ranges 0001a-9999a, 0001b-9999b etc have ...

Re: Hello! I am new

Hi Pavel, over here in the UK we are slowly doing the opposite of Russia. Deactivation spec is getting more severe, importation of realistic looking TOY guns has, I think, now been banned!! The sale of blank firing replicas is now restricted to certain people , re-enactors etc. I am feeling so much ...
