I have taken the search fire apart. I would have to agree that the novice should not attempt it unless you are very mechanical inclined. Take lot's of pictures while doing it. The Romanian is a proven to be good running ammo in the MG34 and MG42........I have no experience with the PrviPartiazan you mention....besides, .29 cents a round for the Romy verses .66 cent for the New made Serbian stuff is a no brainer to me. Just my opinion.

I would stick with the Romanian only. All other sites I have checked are out. So aims is the only supply right now. I just sold 8 cases of the 760 rd cases for $200. a case.

I do not believe that the dark green color is the correct color for your Lafette. It sounds like it may be post war Norwegian repaint. Pictures would be helpful. I am assuming you have a Lafette 34. most just ream it out to the correct size. Use a carbide reamer as the cone is hardened.

yep, I believe there is a pin there if memory serves me right.

check the other end.....I think, but not sure that their may be a pin in the end of the screw. Have to check my photos to be sure as I sold all my buffers.
