Romy is the best surplus for the m53, for the price---just hard to find---like the others said---get a 308 conversion and get into reloading-because surplus ammo is getting harder to find,and commercial is getting costly.

pits right ---everything firearm related is going up, and i think it will for a while
the zb kits are a good deal imo,the barrel is the problem,a live barrel can fetch 3-4 hundred and that was before the buying flurry,I was told that Centerfire has very few of the zb kits left.

Welcome---42Rocker is right,the rear receiver is getting costly and hard to find, and parts from a complete receiver makes for an eaiser build.

jbaum ---you are der man---i never even thought about him ejecting the casing with his finger--- mushroombaby---it sure sounds like the recoil spring could be too long--and not letting the bolt to move far enough to the rear-to eject---you might want to consider buying some manuals on proper operati...

i know of no one in that area that produces these---project guns --down in fl may be able to help---i dont know, i think that BRP and wla were the main producers---ya might check whith both and see whats up.

yes---prussia seemed to hit the important items---i must add that when and if you reweld the semi receiver together--you need to weld in the blocking bar first---and then finish the receiver--- http://www.robertrtg.com/mgrearstampings.html, ----check this out---and notice the size of the blocker it ...

welcome to the site i agree with both of you guys---keep as much of the org as possible--and work from there--i did not see in your previous post--if you had a frt bearing---if the kit you bought has one intact---great---but most do not--and the frt bearing will need to indexed and welded to the frt...

im not sure if there will be any more imported---w/the U.N. in the picture---i think the big problem with 8mm in general---is that as far as i know there are no countries still using 8mm---so i dont think there will be much made in the future ---watch on gunbroker --its like 50cents a round it will ...

i may be wrong---but isnt the frt shroud a bit different---i think it has a different taper length ? ?
