It looks right to me. When the zeros are on the index marks, the sight should be level and straight ahead.

Re: wanted for mg34
Ryan has the right hand feed arm. I am looking for some of the other stuff also. Good luck witht he search. The tough one is the feed tray. I have never seen one, except for the one that I have. The tanker ground kits are out there now and again, but usually at some nutty price

Re: My MG34 finally came in!!!!
The trigger lever (part B21 in the parts post) may be worn. John may also be right, but if you clean the trigger group don't try to take a short cut and use a can of spray gun scrubber stuff: it will melt the bakelite grips.

Re: Congrats to John Baum
The SAR article was great and the manuals are fantastic. Regarding the SAR however, it is intersting that they also did a review on the mg34 movie and referred people to buy it from someone else. WTF with that??

Junglewalk, THAT is a reply with true merit! I will look for that scene in "Männer Gegn Panzer" and see how that MG crew applies their MG-42. Thanks!!! Bil... yer still no help. Work on that. You can watch it on youtube: about the 5:34 mark http://youtube.com/watch?v=eWQEqFou1Vs&feature=...

Re: What do I have here?
as already stated, dot is the three letter manufacuturing code for the Brno work in what is now the Czech Republic. The GCA of 1968 outlawed the importation of foreign made mgs for sale to civilians so many parts kits were imported by any number of dealers , etc. The part of the mg34 that the ATF co...

Re: German Manufacturer's Code Book
Hi Ed, I wouldn't have recommended something like this without having my own first and seeing if it's worth it..... it's worth it. Glad you agree. Michael has been a source of manuals and information for me. I've found him to be very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He's been to the USA a few times a...

2992 a should be a serial number. The germans often used numbering systems such as 1 to 9999a and then 1-9999 b, ect. This was done to try to hide the number of items actually manufactured. Waa 63 is an inspectors proof mark that I think is from Mauser.

It's mg34. Heidlers book does say that it is an unknown code but found on mg34 parts. Actually it says

Re: Anyone want a mg34 tanker kit?
I love the auctions that say "no reserve" but have some big starting price for a minimum bid. $4500? yeah, right. I got an entire fortess mount for much less than that.
