Re: IMA dummy gun barrel shroud extension removal
Bryan, Somehow I missed your post. Surely you've resolved this by now. If not.... ...I have the same IMA receiver. The pivot pin is part of the receiver casting. The retention slot in the IMA pin is cut all the way around. The button is probably hanging up on the sharp edge of the retention groove i...

Re: WTT: MP40 parts
There are a couple of the new semi-22 GSG MP40s on G/B. Also a vendor on G/B who has a stripped lower, which I pictured.
The parts seem really expensive. I have an ejector, as if that will help much.
Good luck in your search....Phil

Re: Bluing or painting M53
Those scratches on your M53 are HISTORY. Cherish them! Your gun was probably in the thick of a Balkan War shootout. On whose side? Who knows? Blueing doesn't usually "take" over the welds on a re-constructed receiver. This gives you the famous "tiger stripes", which you can rightfully be proud. Park...

Re: Wikipedia
I should know better not to comment...but this is "Chatter", right? I last saw an M60 in the Army at 19 in 1971. By that tender age I'd read all the library books about machineguns I could find. On firing and tearing apart the M60, I remember noticing the similarities and differences to the German g...

Re: Blank Feed Issues
I believe that P.G-34 uses the TNW system. On the TNW, it is necessary to just "drop", let go of, the charging handle, as in an AR15. It should chamber the blank as it does live ammo. If you are using 8mm, you might want to try the wooden blanks. They are the same length as regular ammo and might ch...

Alt MG34 bipod bracket 004.JPG A different style of the panzermantel bracket with the sight mounting tab extended foreward to where it also holds the flash-hider latch in front. Panzermantel bracket from France 007.JPG Yes, it's French. A perfect copy. And the (original) sight is backwards. But it is really nice. The service was great. They're quite intricate. Re: Help! MG34 barrel Bearing stuck...
If it's an MG34 barrel bearing screwed into the shroud, it isn't usually necessary to remove it. That said, let it stand upright immersed in a can of "Kroil". The stuff really does creep in and loosen anything, Good luck!...Phil

Re: Spandau 08/15 Aircraft Gun
Alan, Blitz, Prussia, thanks for the great pictures. The LMG08/15 is certainly an awesome, evil-looking weapon. As an aircraft main armament, I just read that the Vickers on US Air Service SPAD 13s were almost all replaced with Marlin "Potato-diggers" as they became available. Is that true? Never se...
