I got it. I just had to cut one side of the tack welds and tweak the muzzle piece a little. Im confused. What is the cam piece and what is the trunion? I believe you guys are referring to the same thing? The piece that goes over the outside of the receiver, right? Glad you got it worked out. I may ...

is your trunion installed when you try to slid the barrel in . The trunion has to be in as well. If it is in.. then maybe that is not fitting correctly. I am just having trouble seeing what is going on with your build. Tkae some pics if you can. Also make sure all the weld is out of those key slots....

I had the setting at 4.5. I think I might set to just 4 and give that a try. The wall thickness of the tubing is about 5/64". I have some 1/8" angle that I can practice on. I will get the hang of this yet. Just need to practice, practice, practice. I'm going over to the scrap dealer next week. I ne...

Its a start man.. Keep at it. Here are some tips - get a auto dark helemt for sure.. HF has them for 49.00.. it is well worth it. Or get a gold lens even better as it allows you to see colors. - Adjust your settings on the tig.. you may have it to high and that is why it is burning through. When you...

It takes a little longer but it's safer. However, I will get my butt over to HF and pick up a 4" side grinder. I can find other uses for one in addition to grinding slag off of receivers. :) I love my hand grinder from HF. Buy some cut off wheels too. You can cut any thing with them. Also you will ...

About the cuts, Grind them until the slag is gone adn you have some nice metal showing. Grind off the burnt and really brittle metal.. It is nice to be able to make the cuts all flat but if you have really bad cuts you would take off alot of metal so use your judgement on that. The most important th...
