You are right, I missed that down in the lower left hand corner. We will see where this one will end up at. I am trying to get one to copy. Thanks Harry

I was out bid at last minute, I just could not justify a higher bid on such a rusty piece. Harry

Re: Wiselite Receiver build
Thanks for the information, do you or anyone know how much longer? I am not adverse to modifying it and making it shorter so it will fit. It looks like they moved the FCG back from the original location. Thanks Harry

Wiselite Receiver build
Folks, I have a M53 with a Wiselite receiver. Unlike the others I have had I cannot use it on any of my tripods, Yugo, WWII German or postwar MG3 models. The distance between the lugs at the rear of the pistol grip to the plate that hooks into the locking piece on the tripod is over an inch longer t...

Re: WTT/WTB: MG-34 .308 anything
Hi Franz20 did you receive the email with the photographs I sent? The parts in the photograph are all the parts needed to convert the MG34 to 7.62 NATO. Harry

I tried to post some photographs with the post but they do not appear. What is the best way of doing this, I am using an Apple. Thanks Harry DSC01433.JPG

lafette rebuild as MG42
Folks I have a 1939 Lafette that looks like it was rebuild by the Germans in WWII based on Berkflaks excellent web page. I would like to convert it back to a Lafette 34 does anyone have a source for the front cradle for the 34? It appears that everything else except for the rear gun mount is origina...

MG42/MG3 dual mount value
Does anyone know what an early Bundeswehr (West German Army) complete dual mount with cover and tool kit is worth? It also includes the large stabilizer legs that are normally missing. Thanks Harry

Re: WTT/WTB: MG-34 .308 anything
For some reason when I try to post a photograph I cannot get it to go anywhere. If someone would post a photograph for me I can send them a photo of my ex-Austrian Army 7.62 NATO conversion unit for the MG34. Yes I know that this conversion is not in the books but the barrel, nozzle and feed tray ar...

Re: MG 42 cone muzzle break with extra fin
It is a good example of a WWII MG42. It was probably selected from Allied captured stock to equip the new Austrian Army after occupation by the Allies ended. I have two MG42's with the BH stamp that were used by the Austrian Army. They took really good care of their guns. Harry

Re: MG 42 cone muzzle break with extra fin
NO PM received, my email h.connors@centurylink.net. To clarify I did not question the authenticity of the gun, it is a good looking WWII MG42, I only mentioned that it had the Postwar Austrian Army (BH) stamp on it. That means they used it like the early West German Army did as well as the German Bo...

Re: MG34 started misfeeding. picture.
I double checked everyone of the receivers and the completed guns, none have a rough half circle like that. I would recommend cleaning it up with a round sander or a file. I suspect that the rounds are hanging on those rough edges and causing the jams. Harry

Re: MG34 started misfeeding. picture.
I have seven MG34's and eight kits in the shop right now plus two TNW's in the my personal safe and NONE of them look like that. That looks horrible. Send me an email at h.connors@centurylink.net. and I will send you some photographs of what it should look like. I suspect that it had been welded at ...

Re: MG 42 cone muzzle break with extra fin
The BH and Austrian coat of arms on the rear of the receiver shows it was a Austrian Army (Bundes Herr) reissue. Not sure about how the BK marking got on that piece as that is typical Yugo. The kit is still a nice one for a semi-or 07 build. Harry

Re: MG34 started misfeeding. picture.
Have you changed the barrel or bolt? If you only have one barrel, pull it and note which lug was up when it came out of the jacket and turn it 180 degrees so the other lug is up and reinsert. If it was working before the only things it could be is the barrel or the belt tray with perhaps the bolt. T...

Re: MG34 started misfeeding. picture.
Does the last fired round get ejected properly? I had a similar issue happen to me but it was caused by the extractor not pulling the fired round out of the barrel, the new round could not enter the barrel as the bullet hit on the fired cartridge. The stronger spring should not cause that problem. H...
