not a problem here, but the ebay seller sells my manuals for more than I do
I charge $18, postage included.

Re: Pressure plate gauge
There's a reason I spent so much time learning Serbo-Croatian to be able to translate the MG42/M53 repair manual. It really is exceptional.
Glad you appreciate it.

Pressure plate gauge
I sold all of the gauges that I had made for checking the pressure plate curvature, and have been out for a year or two. Kevin W Strout from Strout Family FIrearms has made some on his 3-D printer and has them for sale. He can be contacted at: kwstrout@fairpoint.net Strout Family Firearms 146 Tucker...

The confusion seems to be yours when you asked if there were MG3's and .308 cans during World War 2. I think you're clear about that now.

Re: PPSh repair manual
Just printed the first copy. I'm proofreading today, printing on Tuesday. This manual will be ready to ship on Wednesday, May 25. 100 pages, 8.5 x 11", plastic comb binding so that it will lay flat on your workbench. See my www.GermanManuals.com website for details and sample pictures in a day or two.

PPSh repair manual
For everyone who bought a PPSh 41 or 43 kit, I'm presently working on translating the Russian repair manual. It's very well illustrated with excellent text for inspection, troubleshooting, and repairing the PPSh. I had to learned some Russian to be able to translate just this manual (so easy, NOT), ...

Re: Problem using Lafette ...HELP!
If you think WD40 is going to dissolve the storage gunk, you're wrong. The lafette has to recoil freely for the gun to work, but the buffer has to work. Not too tight, not too loose. It's probably adjusted correctly now, it just won't work if you don't have the gunk cleaned off of it. Get a bucket o...

Yup, he was at Show of Shows in Louisville, KY last weekend. It may take him a few days until he gets home and gets caught up with answering email. Don't panic, he is alive and well.

Re: Video of M53 Failure
He must check the headspace of the bolt/barrel combination that he is using. If the headspace is too little, the rear of the cartridge will blow out and what is shown in the video will happen. I have seen this before. Headspace is checked with the bolt and barrel out of the gun. Each bolt/barrel com...

Re: Video of M53 Failure
If you are using old ammunition, try some modern cartridges. The old ammunition, depending on manufacturer, may be loaded with too much power for your gun. Make sure that the barrel latch is properly closed. What size nozzle hole is in the nozzle inside the flash hider/muzzle booster? It looks like ...

Re: Problem using Lafette ...HELP!
Sounds like the buffer on the lafette is so loose that the gun shakes so bad it absorbs the recoil that the gun needs to run. YouTube is NOT a source of reliable information. WD40 is a wonderful product - FOR DISPLACING WATER. It was the inventor's 40th attempt to make a Water Displacing product. Th...

Re: Wise lite m53 charging handle issue
Some WiseLite guns aren't made close enough to a standard that parts from other guns will fit and work. It may need a lot of custom fitting to make a charging hand work, so you'll likely need to have it custom fitted, rather than buy one from someone else.

Re: Lafette tools
Haven't seen any German lafette wrenches in a long time, but I think I still have a few Norwegian lafette wrenches for sale. The difference is that Norwegian lafette wrenches have a part number stamped on them, and they don't have the waffenamt. I sold the last German wrenches I had for $225. The No...

Historic Naval Sound and Video
Here's a link to a webpage with a LONG listing of WWII sound files, with such things as a recording made on a submarine that sank a Japanese battleship, and dozens of other interesting files. This is worth a look and taking the time to bookmark it for later.
