Re: dimensions for obscure mg34 springs?

I still say we here, may help to create a demand for certain wpns/springs, by just simply emailing Wolff springs , requesting them to produce at least a F/P spring for our MG-34 bolts. They will be able to be used in both the semi & FA MG-34. .......How did Wolff perceive a demand or market for a Th...

Great Video;......and it is a great sensation to shoot the 34 with the trommel.
........Check out Bergflak's site with the trommel story. I have a dt-15 that the spring tension can not be adjusted.
..I have been in it, and have tried.....It works just like the one in the video, as is....bh

Re: Dobbel Trommel Wanted!

Springs in magazines;...reminds me of how we handled Grease gun magazines stored with ammo on our tanks in the Cavalry Troop I was a M-48a3 gunner in Viet Nam. (A Trp.1/1 Cav. 68-69) ....We placed two mag springs in one magazine to insure they would work when needed. Two springs were enough to push ...

Re: blank adapting the mg42/m53/mg1-3

I'm finally getting around to describe the results of using 'Blanksguy's' two piece MG-42 blank barrel, under pressures of 'simulated combat' during a recent Russian Front battle here at Marion-grad, Kentucky. .......Two days before the battle, I experimented with using the 308 Austrian green tipped...

TomH, what an indepth explaination. My 2-brain cells are having trouble grasping it all! .. I do know that in Daniel W. Kent's book, 'German 7.9mm Ammunition', he talks about the primer popping out problem with the MG-34 in the 30s.....Their solution was to change the primer, and to punch the primer...

DI you are right;..> dropping the hot barrel into water may cause it to bend as you say......Lay the hot barrel in the open barrel carrier, and I used to spray oil onto it, & let it cool....Now I spray a non-chemical spray ,'Olive oil Pam' now. No flash flame rising up and I spray away, & cools fast...

It looks like a scaled-up cleaning kit in size from yout 98k rifle cleaning kit next to it.......bh
