So do I need to change all that even if I continue to use 8mm belts with .308? (I think they will fit).
Thanks for your help!

MG-34 .308
So I'm converting my MG-34 to .308 live fire.
What needs to be changed?
-Barrel (in the process)
-Topcover?
-Feeding Pawls?
-feed tray?
What can be used from my 8mm set-up? (If anything?)

Thank you! I will try unscrewing it. If that fails I will keep this thread updated.

Changing the MG-34 Barrel Collar
Hey everyone! Any advice on removing the Barrel collar of a 34 barrel? I managed to drill the pin out, but I'd like to revert the barrel to it's original caliber (using a new collar). It's a 8mm barrel with a .308 collar. My issue: The barrel Collar is VERY tight. I can't get it to budge. I've tried...

Re: Converting 8mm topcover to 308
I hate to revive an old topic.
Does the top-cover have to be changed if using the .308 in 8mm belts? Where do you find the new pawls?
Thank you!

WTB: Indianapolis Ordnance MP40 BFONG
I'm looking for an Indianapolis Ordnance MP-40 BFONG receiver kit.
I'd like to get one slightly less that the $2000.00 price tag they've got them for.
Anyone buy one buy want to opt out? I'd offer cash or trade plus cash!

Re: WTT: MP40 parts
I'm really in the market for a nearly entire Lower receiver (trigger housing, stock included).
I'd prefer one that has little to no finish left on it. I'm going to be rebuilding it and rebluing it.
