Re: IMA rear receiver rebuilt need thoughts
Blanksguy Thanks for your thoughts on this. From what I was told by David at IMA all of the mg42 cut up receivers were cut up and kept together from the same guns.. So I'm starting with all of the receiver parts from the same gun, looks that way also.. Also old rails are still in the cut up pieces, ...

whats new
Well dug out the worst (smallest in length) cut ima receiver. After I received the receivers, I basically cleaned most of the slag off of all of them and made small boxes to store in before doing anything with them. Also sorted them smallest to longest and recorded all of the serial numbers. Note if...

Re: Where to get the best kit?
Cope1216 Are you looking for a complete German mg42 or a Jugo m53 which looks alike?? If its a m53 looks like mg42, then try the parts kits at centerfire for $199.99 plus barrel $79.99. The parts as spare parts are worth the price.. Then Good Luck in finding a rear receiver.. BRP or Wiselite or ?? A...

Re: Bipod help requested?
I also think that the BK in a rectangle is post war and is also a early Yugo stamping. I don't believe that I have found it on anything that seems late Yugo made that has a part number like s###-#####.
CAN anyone give any info on the BK in a rectangle mark???
Thanks Later 42rocker

Also avaible from MGS for $300 or less. Also check IMA site. And you need a SPECIAL top cover that costs a LOT more. Repo's are avaible on the top covers. However, Good Luck finding one. I think that the last top cover sold for over $1000. From reading on this site I believe that IMA and MGS sold re...
