After reading a lot of these posts I see many shooters are shooting blanks in their guns. Does this mean that you cannot use live stuff in a rebuild @ S/A ?

I just went to ak47dennis's profile<clicked on "view all posts"< when I got to the page he has 28 posts I started going through them -returned to page 6 and "NO TOPICS OR POSTS MET YOUR SEARCH CRITERIA" image came on screen

When I go through all these 34 forums to get information/ideas and overall enlightenment I sometimes pick a person whom I know has done a 34 before[tmannn ,ak47dennis,helix--to name a few] and when I get to page 5 of their posts-which may be 20 pages-- I get the "no information available" sign-----I...

Just something that I was wondering as I look at my 34 receiver and figure my next move in my rebuild. Warpage is a concern when rewelding--but I wonder if there is existing warpage due to being tourch cut----------------just a fleeting thought

I'm finally getting up enough nerve to start welding up my 34.
It looks like some of you fellas welded your receiver w/ the pieces cut/milled square w/ each other giving you no gap with the flush seam. It can be done that way or does a v groove have to be put on those edges?
