I was also going to note that I believe that that mount was for use on the US style tri-pod but I guess it might fit on a vehicle mount. The one I have is ex-Danish Army. The mounts that the Germans use for the MG3 on vehicles is much different. Harry

It could be some of those sold by Sam Cummings to the new German Army in 1956 to 1959. I know some of the receivers were ground but the leaving of the hitler chickens does not make sense if you remove the maker codes or its "Nutzie" past. Harry

As noted it is a Hungarian M43 but it is a post war model. They used them well into the 50's. The Germans also used them but with the front of the stock looking more like a K98k. It is normally found in the standard German 8X57 in the war time and post war models. Harry

Hi The bushing is not held by the extractor it appears to be a fitted piece that looks like it is in backwards. Harry

That is supposed to be a rear marking on the barrel. But the receiver is $900 welded and the complete one is $1400 plus but are not available yet. There is a cheaper barrel offered for only $600! Harry
