Re: M53 First time at the range 95% satisfied
Glenn forgot to mention one thing about our outing today: heat and humidity! Within minutes we were all dripping with sweat, and moving the gear away from the shooting tables and into the shade of the pecan trees. Our special thanks to my good friend and neighbor, Keith, who allowed us to use his b...

I don't know what the current stock situation is with Marstar, but last year I bought some drums and a carrier from them and they were all German WWII with waffens and the whole shebang. I ordered "Yugo" stock, but everything I got is original German. Hope that is still the case. GeeDeeEmm :D nice!...

I bought my top-of-the-line Dremel last year, and am I glad they have a five-year guarantee. I don't know where they are made, but mine has not been dependable, nor has the Four replacements that they have sent me. Re: Governors Growing Some . . . Our Best Hope?
Our governor, Mike Beebe, ran as a moderate Democrat, and initially governed to the right of middle. THEN, the stimulus package was offered to Arkansas, and the Governor lapped it up with both arms wide open, and much gratefullness and praises for the new Obama administration. There was literally an...

Re: New, unissued complete M53 semi-auto firing rifles
Hello av1cadet, And welcome to THE board for MG42 lovers. I'm afraid you will have a very difficult time enticing members here to do a money-up-front deal of any kind. The reason -- several instances in which members ponied up-front money for various items/services and received nothing in return. Th...

I still do not know how I am going to do the bolt... Its a tricky one. I should have chronicled my first build, it would have made a great sticky of what NOT to do, but that was back in the dark ages before I found this site and its skilled members. : Oh, you can rest assured that my build will throughly cover the "what NOT to do" aspect from every conceivable directi...

I know that the boss man does not like to make an issue of it, but it would be nice if a "Donate" banner were made a feature of the board index page -- and maybe every page thereafter. Hi Guys, I've been lurking around and watching the site every day, but spring has been hard on me arthritis-wise. Have just felt terrible. Hope next week to install the 220 to the shop, and I'm ready to roll. A friend gave me a 110 mig welder that I just got working. It does a great job. But I need...

Welcome to the site, MG42ed. You've come to the right place for constructing your MG42/M53 receiver into a semi-auto gun. Every aspect of the build is covered here, and is easily accessed by using the search feature. If you can't find what you are looking for, do as you've done here, and shout out ...
