I think I've got a handle on these dimensions now. When I milled out the c/h opening. I used the brp side view prints. Reached 8.110" on my mills dro and hadn't event reached the edge yet. Had to go to 8.325" before it cleaned up. This made me think I had too much length on the rear. Not even. 10.4"...

Dont know if your still wondering but .154" small pin is standard on ar's. Only Colt did large pin out of political correctness. Cant imagine any gripstick conversions are setup on large pin. RR

Thanks, Thats great, I am going with an mg3 theme on this build. Barrel, booster/flash hider,rear sight, topcover, drum. So this will help tie it together. Yugo grip has a more rounded triggerguard which I dont care for. Thanks again Waffen. RR

Wow! Crash, even more to consider. I am planning on going .308 on my build too. 8mm is non existent in Alaska. Even if I could find good surplus ammo. Oh yeah, Jbaum has a good point. I used a toolsteel bit and my depth mic. Even so .080" is a buttload to overlook.
Any angle off parallel will result in cosine error, so try to minimize it.
