Re: Extractor issue

Is this a full auto, or semi MG34?

If this only occurred the first time it was tested, perhaps it wasn't quite correctly seated the first time.

Lafette, what model is this?

I received a picture asking what model lafette this is. My only guesses are Austrian or Swiss, but I don't have any reference material to identify it for sure. Anyone?

Re: MG81Z

I remember seeing that MG81 advertised for sale years ago. A very fine piece of hardware.

Do you have a copy of the original (in German) MG81 manual? I have it if you'd like it. It isn't a common enough gun to make it worth the trouble to translate it, but it still has usable information in it.

If the stock you have is good, you can just replace the cup in the stock with one from a beater/broken stock.

Could have been out of spec from the factory. No way to tell.

Gotta love it when you ask a specific question, get a specific answer, and it all works out. :)

Re: MG3 Feed Tray With NATO M13 Links

The pivot point spacing is different on the levers with the one marked "0". The pivot pins for the pawls are spaced slightly different. This accommodates the slightly longer/farther spacing of the M13 links compared to the belts. You need the "0" marked feed pawls to accommodate the slightly longer ...

Re: Bolt Roller Binds

What I would do, but not necessarily what will fix your problem or what you should do.... you decide: Clean thoroughly with a brass bore brush after dipping in kerosene or bore cleaner to see if there's anything accumulated where it shouldn't be. Obviously a different bolt head should solve the prob...

Re: Bolt Roller Binds

"Binds"

A very undefinitive term. Does it bind in the bolt? Does it bind in the cam piece? Where does it bind?

Re: Das M.G. 34 (Bild) Waffentafeln Wa32/33

This, and a few other waffentafeln are available in English on my GermanManuals.com website. I have a stack of these that's 3" high. I'm only missing 10 of them (out of 75 that are are listed in the above chart), so if someone has any from the below list, I'm interested. I'm thinking of making a boo...

Yes, the disks (sometimes leather) are original to the soaking jar and prevent the muzzle booster from rattling.

These were made for the MG08, MG34, MG13, MG15, and MG42, and for blank firing adapters where available, in sizes appropriate to the purpose.

Re: .50 cal reloading supplies

I'll sell the projectiles by the can only (500 rounds). Primers can sell by the box of 1,000 (HazMat fee paid by buyer, if necessary to ship). Powder by the 8 lb. jug. My ad states that the projectiles are full metal jacket, therefore they are not tracer, ap, or apit. projectiles are $450 for a 500 ...

Re: MG53 Restoration disassembly/assembly question

Depends on how detailed of a description you want for disassembly/assembly of the lafette. There was a manual that showed the basics with exploded parts diagrams for the lafette, but I haven't seen that in quite a few years. The Yugo Model 53 armorer's repair manual I translated goes into great deta...
