Pic of the front sight area would help out to confirm that it's a M53. Looks like one.

Re: Wisconsin man prosecuted for dealing firearms without license
Folks selling your personal collection is one thing. Buying and selling lots of the same item and just buying and selling really you are looking for trouble. I was at a table at one show and watched someone across from me buy and sell 7 handguns over the weekend. Buy and then sell it That's just wro...

Hi
It's me looking to sell. I have a few nice buffer bodies that are marked. I'll flip you some picks after I recover from doing a Great MVPA show. Look for them mid week.

Re: WTB. Great condition original MG42 Tripod
Jack Don't settle for a yugo unless you want one. I have a complete yugo lafettle with yugo data plate in my collection. That said I've looked, worked on, and gathered, traded, and bought and sold in trying to build rebuild and obtain as close as I can German lafettes. So look on my friend. I'm sure...

Re: WTB. Great condition original MG42 Tripod
Jack Is looking for a Lafette. Original German, no yugo parts, Great condition. Jack knows his stuff, he and I have emailed several times over German items and I can say that is a good guy and has done a lot of research in this area. Most of my Lafettes are not up to the Great condition part as I've...

Re: IMA German MG42 rear reciever pieces
Funny I was talking about that with someone yesterday. The general thought was around the price of a 2 piece shell receiver. plus or minus. In my thoughts the IMA is worth more. Main 3 reasons 1st. it's correct, original 2nd you don't have to weld the center together over the length 3rd it has the r...

Re: Please help me find a legit builder
Getting the original pieces back together and working is something that has been stated by a lot of folks. That said finding the original pieces is getting harder and harder for German MG42's. Now there are m53'2 that keep showing up and they can also be rebuilt. But we have also found that sometime...

Re: Looking for a full rear section with receiver rail dimples
Also the term 80% got axed by batf. Now using 70% and other fun terms.
Review the link that I sent you. The rebuild is lots of work. Might be better off to go the 3 cut yugo receiver route.

Jack
I believe that most of the current receiver makers do not include those rivet dimples.
Anyone seen anyone making a receiver with them?

Re: Best rear receiver to use
I would try to use a complete one. https://mg34.com/product/m-53-mg-42-spare-parts-set-excellent-condition/ This way you can start with everything that was working before it was cut apart. Not mixing Ford Dodge Chev parts together. Other than that I would think BRP. Or check your private messages fo...

Re: MG42 Value
What I find interesting that on that link into gunbroker is that pics 35 to 42 are of a MG34 topcover and such. That said at least most of it looks like German WW2. Lets see where the price goes, so pull up a chair and pass the popcorn.
