Re: Water Cooled MG-13s

I am not revealing my sources, so if you believe me or not is up to you. I know I tend to believe it when it comes from the horses mouth.

Water Cooled MG-13s

Here is the scoop on the water cooled MG-15s. The aircraft MG-15s were sent to the newly formed French armies of the German occupied France to be rebuilt as water cooled MG-15s for ground use. After the French rebuild them, they were sent to Germany's allied, the Romanians. The Romanians used them i...

Re: WTS:Midwest Metals Semi-auto MG13

For those of you who don't know much about the MG-13, it is by far my favorite semi auto I have ever assembled. Very simple, very reliable, very smooth trigger pull. I buy all the parts kits I can find. I know everyone wants a MG-34, or MG-42, Why ? ? ? because it's the only two you ever see on Band...

Re: My posts being reworded

Drooling Idiot said he was the one who made a few small changes. I wasn't clear that the Wise Lite is 1" longer, not the M-53, he didn't want to post my mistake so he changed it. I would much rather be made fun of than having something changed. The dead give-away was the way I word certain phrases h...

Re: My posts being reworded

Nobody has it. Somebody reworded my post and made it softer and more friendly I guess. Still uncalled for in my books. I am seriously thinking of asking to be removed from this forum.

My posts being reworded

I have been noticing that the posts I have been leaving have been changed from what I have original posted.Has anybody else noticed it? I know for a fact they are being edited and reworded. I would rather have them deleted than changed. Can somebody please tell me why?

Re: Newbie - Questions on MG42 ownership

The folks here have some incredible stuff. Much of it can't be duplicated; it's just not available. Admire the photos, and give thanks that these guys collected this stuff before it went to history's smelter. That said....... If you're not a gun owner, better to join a range, perhaps purchase a rev...

Really a masonry bit ? ? Heat with Mapp Gas Torch to bright orange then drill from the opposite side of the hole. When done re heat treat piece. ? ? Come on guys. If you are going to put one of these together, it's is going to cost you a little scratch. Buy the carbide bit, better make it two, becau...

Re: My Semi Schwarzlose build

Bob, I have no interest in getting into this with you, I don't know you and you don't know me, plus I really don't care. Just to let other people on the forum know, that an approval for one person is not an approval for everyone. This is directly from an ATF tech agent! Maybe he didn't know what he ...

Stuff for sale on G.B.

I need to fund a new project so I need to get rid of a few more items. Each is like a child to me and it brakes my heart to get rid of them  who am I kidding ! ! Re: My Semi Schwarzlose build

Thanks for the concern. I hope I didn't just fall off the turnip wagon. I have been doing this for awhile. I have made lots of mods to this receiver and it will take well over the 18hrs to convert back to auto, if it is even possible. There is no way in hell the original bolt set-up or trigger housi...

Re: My Semi Schwarzlose build

Thanks, I try to clean up the receivers so you can't tell they have been re-welded. I try with the mill. I pretty much taught myself how to use it. I wish it was a better mill with metric dials. The dial measurements don't even work, so I have to measure and mark every cut instead of using the dials...

Re: My Semi Schwarzlose build

The first post clearly shows some of the mods for the semi auto build. The sequence of the pics are just out of order. This was a display gun when I bought it, now it's a semi auto. No I didn't send it to the ATF. There is a huge amount of machining for the way I built it as a semi auto.

Re: M53 problems

Pull the cone and booster off. Stand the gun up on the stock and push down on the barrel bearing. The barrel should push down easily and spit the bolt out of the locks. After words the barrel should easily pop back up. If not I would check the recoup and also that the barrel is free in the receiver....

Re: MG42 in action

There are not too many photo's of the unit I'm in taken by us. We are all young and fit and on the run constantly. I find them on line time to time. Here are some U-Tube vid's of me. Mostly boring stuff. The shorter one was a couple of vid's spliced together. Also the gun was being a little of a bug...

Re: MG42 in action

Where is your #2? Why aren't your belts in assault drums? Specially in the woods, the belts don't like twigs. Are you Rambo ? If it is a defensive position, the Lafette, #2, #3, and a bunch of cans of ammo would be present.

Re: WTB M53

Thanks Guys, learned from the best ( fellow members here ) :)) BRP has a lot of the semi auto parts. I still think he is out of the bolts, but I do have a few kicking around. It may seem overwhelming at first, but if I my very first semi auto build was a mg-42 then it can't be that hard. The ...
