Re: WTB: MGz 34 scope dovetail base
I think he was looking for the aluminum block that goes on the lafette. That is what almost always missing on tripods, not the metal dovetail from the scope itself. That auction says it is new and not original. - Matt

Re: please help identify unknown optic with MG42 reticle
I believe it is a spotting scope for an MG that was sometimes attached to antitank guns. I've seen another one, just like yours but green in the last few years. - Matt

Re: Lafette 34 Bolt Box
Your post makes no sense, 2x2=4? What are you talking about??
The spring in the bolt box pictured in the first post is for the MG34. The bolt boxe for the MG42 has a different type of spring in it.
120 or 75pounds is a good price. - matt

Re: MG34 barrel shroud relacement
i think the two screws on the bottom that hold the spring for the bipod also keep the shroud from unscrewing. i'm sure they are timed so they screw togeither right - matt

Re: question about the mg34 trigger...
not sure i understand about the fake parts. who is making fake MG34 parts? i know bulgaria would grind down the lever that pivots up and down to the right of the trigger bar. the small round knob that gets hit by the cocking lever attaches to it. i've seen the square studs gound off on many bulgaria...

Re: Dobbel Trommel Wanted!
i guess if you want to shoot the mg15s are the way to go and if you want to invest the real deal is the way to go. still a lot of money, i/ve only seen a few pics of the real mg34 drums and they do not look like they are in shootable condition. i guess 6k for one that works was worth it to somebody....
