Re: Gripstick attachment.
Yes Sir. Removed the bolt and rotated in but had to file down some of the aluminum trigger housing to get it in. Now I need to do a little more work to align the hanger hole. I guess I thought it would drop right in. The stiffener on the left side the receiver seam to be a little long and not letti...

Re: Wiselite Receiver build
Just one more note, the new Wise Lite bolt group will only work with their trigger housing. There trigger housing is designed so the internals (hammer) sits lower.

Re: Mg42 SA bolt comparison
Yup, that's what the firing pin holder does alright. On another subject, the MG42 doesn't have a trunnion. It does have a cam piece and a barrel extension, but the cam piece is only involved with unlocking the bolt rollers from the barrel extension when the locked together barrel and bolt recoil. J...

Re: WaA11 rear sight
Rob,
Here is two photos of the receiver piece this sight came off of. Marked "ehs".
I believe it was very early production. I hope someone here can shed light on the lack of knurling.

Yes striker or striker sleeve, it forces the two bolt rollers out locking the bolt head into the trunion and barrel extension.jbaum wrote:Is the firing pin holder what you're calling the "striker"?

Mg42 SA bolt comparison
I have only one M53 SA and one MG42 SA home build under my belt. My first was in 2013 and I did the bolt modification’s myself and soon went to the BRP 2nd generation bolt. After a catastrophic failure, out of battery detonation of a very old 8mm round, in my MG42 SA I was faced with a rebuild. The ...

Head up on project for sale
Looks like a good deal on a project build, appears to be a BRP rear receiver with a lot of work done and some nice accessories.

Re: MG 42 cone muzzle break with extra fin
NO PM received, my email h.connors@centurylink.net... To clarify I did not question the authenticity of the gun, it is a good looking WWII MG42, I only mentioned that it had the Postwar Austrian Army (BH) stamp on it. That means they used it like the early West German Army did as well as the German...

Re: What's up with Gunbroker?
My first build I was advised by someone here to buy two kits. I did from APEX . Between the to kits I managed to have the parts for one good build, there were worn and broken parts in both kits and I had extra receiver parts to practice welding with.
