Buy the 308 and and extra 8mm barrel. Kit 399.00 + 150.00 for extra brl. For 50.00 more than an 8mm kit you get both cals. You'll then have to mod the 308 feed tray adapter to make it removable and replaceable

People should be all over those 399.00 IO kits. its just 50.00 more than century wants for a kit missing the rear section. It's almost the same price as folks would get for just the stripped reciever. The other parts are good and sellable. I got a ww2 stock in my kit. It's the luck of the draw on pa...

Yes for thr most pasrt the tray is the key factor. Older trays will mot let the m60 link that have the "arm" for the rim on the side instead of the top like 42 links to get past the guide on the link ejection side of the tray. Your next problem is to get the top cover to feed the linked rounds. I li...

You need the feed tray with pawls on it for sure. It should work with most built for 308 top covers. No ww2 or yugo 8mm covers. The only way to be sure it to use the mg3 feed tray (with pawls) and buy the newest mg3 top cover from RTG. I have the correct tray and an early mg3 top cover that I hope w...

My german kit(599.00) Was complete and has excellent condition parts. Receiver cuts are clean with no slag. Yes thats the type OI had. If you want german thats the one. At the price we are paying (399.00) you can order the 308 kit and an extra 8mm barrel and still be under the price of a german. Yo...

Got to peek at mine. Its the same as yours. Mine has some grind marks on it as well. The rivet holes are endmilled through. It is also almost 100% yugo. The buttstock may be German it's bad but not totaly destroyed. The barrel is worn/good but 100% shiney inside. Grab them for 399.00 they are a deal...

I have all the top covers and trays. MG42 and MG2/3 cover. 8mm tray, 8mm yugo to 308 tray, MG1 tray and last but not least the mg3 tray with box holder and extra belt holding pawls. I know the 8mm tray will not close on the MG3 tray. DI's post was very complete. I just wanted to give Styggo the quic...

Just buy an 8mm feed tray that has been blocked for 308. Your old topcover will work fine. Please note that it must be a blocke 8mm. A dedicated 308 tray will not work as it will not allow the top cover to close. Or you could put a spacer in your 8mm tray and save some coins.

The person at SG was wrong. Try http://www.marstar.ca. I believe they have them. Some companys don't want to take any sort of risk on out of the U.S. sales. You might want to send an email to Anders on http://www.falfiles.com. He is in your county and might better know how to handle the folks at SG....
