Re: MG34 joint lever
Thanks for the info, Matt. I have the receiver that it goes to. Looks like the barrel plunger hole is drilled all the way through, front to back. I assume some kind of shaft/spring went in there. It also has the trigger housing with the circular cutout. I've never seen a diagramme of the operation o...

Re: Panzer barrel shroud accessories
Thanks for the info, John. I can imagine how few of these made it out of the tank when it was abandoned/destroyed. No wonder they're so rare!

Very nice! Great markings, superb bakelite stock. Is the ammo belt inverted?

Panzer barrel shroud accessories
Now that I have a bare panzer shroud, I join the quest for the accessories. They seem to be very rare and dear! I have purchased Brian's (BRP) two-disc CD collection of photos of MG34s he's owned. If you haven't got it yet, it's a treasure-trove of mg34 delight. His panzer shroud #9411 has the follo...

Here is a photo of the data side of the M53 receiver that is sold as a kit by A.A. Four cuts, threads intact. Very nice. Can anyone translate the inscription?

Rear sight removal
Hi guys, need some advice from you skilled types. I need to swap rear sights out on my panzermantel shroud because it has some corrosion. I have a spare shroud with good sight. Has anyone done this? Which way does the little axle stop pin drive out? (F? R?). I really just need to change the elevatin...

Re: Recuperator Pin hole measurement?
Hi there, even if you have a re-welded receiver, chances are that there is a remaining hole in there somewhere. It just got partially filled in at some point by excess weld bead. Can you just "pick up" on the original hole by boring a trial hole at the approximate location? I'll check my receiver an...

Re: 34 PANZERMANTEL GROUND KIT
I would certainly like to hold one in my hands, to digitize it. I plan to make one from photos from the site. A reasonable facsimile to hold up the sight and bipod. Would anyone rent one out, with a large deposit? Hellooooo......Phil

Hi Travis, so am I. Please let me know if you score two! Meanwhile I'm going to machine mine out of a block of Delrin, an engineering plastic, the only thing my lousy old mill will cut. Good luck, Phil.

Re: help with locating the reciever dimples...
Hi there, on my TNW receiver, the tray dimples extend from 2 1/4" to 3" from the face of the front of the receiver. that's 57.5mm to 75.5mm. They are located 9.0mm down from the surface of the flat top of receiver. Good luck! Phil

Re: M53 from Allegheny
Thanks for the heads-up. Kinda re-defines "display weapon." Did your M53 include a complete receiver "cut from the same gun"? If so, could you post a photo of the receiver markings? Thanks, Phil

M53 from Allegheny
Hi folks, I see that Allegheny Arms has M53 kits that include a "complete receiver with all pieces cut from the same gun." I have a couple questions: Has anybody bought one of these? Is this in fact true? Does their "complete" receiver contain the back section with the data? And please, does anybody...

Re: WTB: MG34 Charging Handle and Receiver Rear
Brian at BRP Guns confided sometime back that they were going to reproduce them. Might be worth a call if you can wait for one. Probably won't be cheap, won't be the real thing either. Good luck! Phil
