your 42 & 53 were stamped to start with so why bother with mixing in a milled one? your front end is stamped also.

im not a machinist like Pirate, so all in all ive got about 22hrs in my semi from start to finish.

someone good or with a real machine shop would have a lot less.

lay them together and check it out.... if your short of the 37 11/16 number, see if its enough to just weld in.

no real way to go wrong here.

but there are a lot of multiple build pro's on here who may chime in later.

met up with Pirate a long time ago when PBB was busy on a different project than what i needed....... have just kind of stayed since then.

so here is the start: a yugo version called the M53 is the parts kit im goin to use,(its the same gun made in a yugoslavian factory) it has very little wear on the top cover and no visible marks on the bolt. this is a serial # matching kit to boot!! pretty rare to get one of those now days! the only...

as mentioned earlier, without Pirates help, i could not have built this on my own!! this may be easier than a reweld, but it is NOT an AK build. LOL very involved and unless you have either a PIrate to buy parts from or your own machine shop, this would be a very tough but still rewarding build. min...

same here.. dig it out and then lets look at it..

if its a yugo it should have that crest in the top cover and probably say dec 1943...

thats what all 3 of mine say.

ive got a set of these from Pirate and let me tell you they work very good and my 7yr old loves them!! she can rip right thru a belt this way... would you like to see a test video of her using them? :mrgreen:
