Re: MG34 semi short-clip.
Interesting thing the MG34 has a PZb-39 bipod on it - I guess they were interchangeable with that short lived anti-tank rifle.

MG34 semi short-clip.
Took the MG34 semi to the range - this was the first time I had shot it, although owned it a looong time. This was a private range day I was sharing with about 15 fellows from the bureau (they are the ones in polo shirts and khakis), they all shot the MG34 and some of the other WW2 firearms (G43, G3...

Re: WANTED !! Mg 42 Yugo Lafette Tripod
It will cost almost that to ship from the UK or Europe. IMA is the best deal - I looked for two years. (Just looked it looks they are sold out, bummer) Or, go on holiday to Germany pick one up from Zib and bring it home as luggage - they will not ship one to the US. I'll sell you mine for $1000 -- t...

Re: IMA-USA lafette.
I needed one that looked WW2 era for the '42 set-up - I just bought one of the AA mounts too. I make films and use that as an excuse to assemble a visually sufficient collection that I don't mind getting knocked around a bit. I don't know why you need yours, so unfortunately I cannot comment on whet...

Old MG34 tripod pic.
My daughter bought me an old German photo album - the majority of the pics are Maxim machineguns, but there was a pic of an MG34 in AA mode, as well as two pics of MG34's at the shooting range - on what looks like a cold day, the sheepskin coats look serious. The photo-album was dated 1939 - but the...

Re: MG42 AA tripod ID.
Thanks, 42rocker, the welds just looked so poor on the adapter/head, I didn't think they were military - perhaps just a different era to the rest of the piece. The MG42 and M53 fit fine on it. I know it's not too exciting, just curious about it really. It will go in with the 42 gear as an accessory....

MG42 AA tripod ID.
Hi Guys, I am pretty sure this is a bog standard AA tripod - with a non-military made MG42 adaptor affixed. I have photographed the only marking I can find on it, which looks post-war to my novice eyes - Oct 1966? Would love some info. on it. *It came with a dummy M53 and WW2 ammo holder, classified...

Re: Good quality MG42 grips.
I didn't notice that 42'; original WW2 from the 50-60's - hmmm, sounds like someone is off with their dates, lol.
They are post war, WW2 style, which will work for me - but yes, the grips are not actually WW2 era, for sure.
Well spotted.

Great - thank you.

Good quality MG42 grips.
Hello, I have two M53's - that are made up to look like MG42's. Is there a source (preferably in the US, but not essential) of MG42 style bakelite or plastic grips out there, that some of the collectors here have had good luck with. I would like to replace these beat to hell Yugo grips with some of ...

Re: yugo optic
Similar situation in Spain - everyone is terrified of shipping - I found some awesome FAO (ZB26) spares (butt plate and tool kit - not mags or barrel, don;t worry.) on a Spanish auction site, none of the sellers would ship to the US. Zib would not ship me a Lafette from Germany - email copied and pa...

Re: MG42 shell bag on M53
I appreciate the heads up, 42rocker, thank you! I'll post pics of my guns anytime, it's the pics of me in my speedos break dancing I was concerned about going public. Looking at the Yugo accessories and their prices, I think I will buy as much as I can - it's going to disappear into collections, and...

Thank you - I would need the mount too, I see.
Definitely too reasonable to overlook.
This could be my first buy from Zib -

Re: MG42 shell bag on M53
Yes - I'd like to know too. Please do post results. Could be useful - for movie use they like the cases spraying out. But, it is a pain on test fire days having to clear up 300-400 rounds of brass, as we all know, lol. Pit. http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p140/figaro1971/th_WW-3213_zps92dba87b.jpg

Tact-adv - did you add the foregrip?
I haven't seen that on an MG15 before.
Nice vids, thank you,
