Re: just got my m53...Help!
hit it with a hammer? or fire a round. thats how mine comes out the easiest
seriously though. push the side barrel door lever forward and then pop it out.. make sure the bolt is back. if its stuck you may have to tap it with a rubber hammer.

Re: P38 ammo
It won't load hollow points.... found that out awhile back.. That's not really a bad thing. You probably wouldn't (or shouldn't) be using any kind of HP ammunition anyways. Neither the Walther P-38 or Luger P.08 are suited for contemporary concealed carry. had a bunch of really old hollow point a f...

Re: MG42 Wooden Transit Chest.
i think they were put neatly into large transit boxes. 20 or more a box. stuck in trains and unloaded at a depot. there units called for them and the large box was put into a opel truck and drove to the unit HQ and then issued. just a guess. i mean the Russians never made any small crates its always...

Re: MG42 Wooden Transit Chest.
i have never seen any evidence they existed in ww2, everything is post war it seems. it doesn't make sense for the Germans to have built transit chests for the MG42 especially since by 1943 resources were starting to become scarce and it would have taken time to produce them that Germany didn't have...
