Welcome
Read, read, read, study and ask questions before you build. I am on my second build now, the first (M53 SA) turned out Ok, thanks to "Mech Warrior" and Brian at BRP, learned a lot.
The second MG42 SA is coming along better.

Re: Waffenmeister must have had a rush day....
I have both German and Yugo, Part # on Yugo S113-27128 and the head rotates 360 but only folds back in one direction, always with the tabs up, so yes someone probably assembled that one wrong.

usmc8488, Isn't to WiseLiteArms that is making an SA42 with a machined rear-section (?). Regards, RichardS. US Army, Retired. Yes I knew they were using it. My attempt was before WiseLite was doing the Gen 2. After my build I just didn't pay attention how they were using it. I probably could have j...

Re: Philadelphia ordinance m42 80% ever built?
I would suggest looking at cutting the Phia-Ord 80% in half from front to rear......doing the machining-out of the inside and then welding the halves together. It just seems that it would be cheaper/faster to do it this way instead of trying "EDM" due to costs of the work. Regards, RichardS US Army...

Re: MG34 AA tripod
Hey all, I'm trying to get my hands on an AA tripod for my mg34. I can't seem to find much info here after a quick search, so I thought I'd suggest a topic for conversation: AA tripods! Are they very rare to find? Are there post-war varieties thaty collectors should be wary of? What makes them uniq...

Re: Looking for demilitarized MG42
Went to the range today but was unable to fire it. I don't think I was setting up the transport lever properly but instead of fooling with it and doing something STUPID I'm going to get some dummy rounds and do some dry runs plus consult with Oakrodent about it. Can someone point me in the right di...
