Re: New Guy Question
Don't get discouraged. My very first build was a MG-42. Lots of people tried to persuade me not to build one. I'm just thick headed or maybe too stupid to listen. You can learn the basics of mig welding fairly easy. I think my 8 yld son can mig weld good enough for a MG-42. I have been welding since...

Re: New to the Forum, with a Wise Lite Yugo M53!
It was on Saturday and Sunday. I was only there for Saturday. It was fun. MG13 rocked like usual and we also used the SG-43 It was OK need to get a new recoil spring for it. I'm not sure when the next event is. I can always look at it one night. Just not sure when it will be good. We are moving on t...

There shouldn't be a problem bring it into the event. If it is I can always come out to your car. You can...

Re: New to the Forum, with a Wise Lite Yugo M53!
I have the gauge also. it doesn't matter if the bolt is open or closed when you close your top cover as long as everything is lined up. It could be there is not enough of a radius in front of the feed tray. This will cause all kinds of issues. Also there should be a cut out under the trunnion for th...

Try soaking it in diesel fuel. When I was a kid on the farm, my father used to restore old tractors. Most have been sitting in the trees for 40+ years and were seized solid. After filling everything with diesel and letting it soak for a few months it would break free. I still use that trick in my ev...

Re: Selling my stuff on G.B.
Thanks guys, I am really surprised that nobody has jumped on the ZB-37 / Besa kits. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=250592256 It has some very nice extra parts. I had started a semi auto build, but ended up saw cutting it again. All the crazy torch cuts had been beautifully welde...

Re: WTS:Midwest Metals Semi-auto MG13
No, this is a hammer fired semi / full auto machine gun. Building one as a semi auto is quite simple. You have to remove the full auto stuff and do all the rest of the mods. These guns are very smooth running runs,

Re: Water Cooled MG-13s
I am having my friend get me some of the papers that are in French. I will also have my hands on a ST-61 and MG-15 parts kits. I will comb over the ST-61 for waffen amps and any other type of stamping. I will also compare the two kits parts. Should be interesting to see if there are any differences....

Re: Water Cooled MG-13s
I have no excuse on the title. I had the MG-13 on my mind when I started the post. Were they then sold threw France? The ST61 Transit Chest Inventory is written in French. The thought was they were converted by M.A.S. but as it was pointed out, the receivers, and barrels are new. Are the internals n...

Re: Water Cooled MG-13s
Don't be so hypocritical. First of all you have no idea of who I talked to. Why does it have to be somebody from I.M.A. ?? BTW what did IMA do to you. I have had good luck with them in the past. Anyways, here are a few more links for you guys to look at, and it was just Googled, I know that's tough ...
