Re: 42 But stock problem
Well enjoy the show and PLEASE take a few pics and share with us folks that can't make it to England at this time. The timing is off or I would send you the 4 -- 1 pound notes that I just picked up. I know they need to be taken to the Bank of England to turn in for coins... Did that one a few years...

Re: MY MG42 I like it :-)
The early handle is often referred to as the slab side. It was soon replaced by the ratchet style handle that is on your gun. http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n73/david_4x4/Machine%20guns/IMG_0675.jpg Now i see and understand :photos: Cheers david. This early MG yours? It look very nice on the mo...

Re: yugo
From what I have seen any part that is stamped with S-111-23380 type of number is a yugo made part. Sooo "Does that 100% comfirm it as a Yugo? " I think that it does confirm it. Thanks rock. Already seen this buffer topic and have comfirms that the buffer i have is 100% german as its as the recesse...

Re: MG 42 Sling or 34 Sling??
Is this Sling the correct sling for MG42 or is it for MG34? I think its a 42 Sling? I have ask same question on " Wehrmacht-awards " and was told its a guniune MG34 sling. What you guys think??? If I recall correctly, there is a difference in the width of the grip. I *think* the MG-34 is smaller. A...

Re: MY MG42 I like it :-)
Looks great! What is done to the weapon in order to deactivate it in the UK? Hi The barrel is retained in the gun by a hardened pin which runs up a groove on underside of barrel. The barrel cant be removed because of the pin. With the barrel held in gun this way it still allows the bolt and rollers...
