Re: dimensions for obscure mg34 springs?

I still say we here, may help to create a demand for certain wpns/springs, by just simply emailing Wolff springs , requesting them to produce at least a F/P spring for our MG-34 bolts. They will be able to be used in both the semi & FA MG-34. .......How did Wolff perceive a demand or market for a Th...

Re: dimensions for obscure mg34 springs?

http://www.mg42.us/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=10934 ....I recently posted for the guys here to email Wolff Springs and request them to produce the Firing-Pin spring for the MG-34 bolt.......As you well know, they have quite a few new reproductions for all kinds of fire-arms. ....If they would start with ...

Re: Dobbel Trommel Wanted!

Great Video;......and it is a great sensation to shoot the 34 with the trommel.
........Check out Bergflak's site with the trommel story. I have a dt-15 that the spring tension can not be adjusted.
..I have been in it, and have tried.....It works just like the one in the video, as is....bh

Re: Dobbel Trommel Wanted!

Springs in magazines;...reminds me of how we handled Grease gun magazines stored with ammo on our tanks in the Cavalry Troop I was a M-48a3 gunner in Viet Nam. (A Trp.1/1 Cav. 68-69) ....We placed two mag springs in one magazine to insure they would work when needed. Two springs were enough to push ...

Re: blank adapting the mg42/m53/mg1-3

I'm finally getting around to describe the results of using 'Blanksguy's' two piece MG-42 blank barrel, under pressures of 'simulated combat' during a recent Russian Front battle here at Marion-grad, Kentucky. .......Two days before the battle, I experimented with using the 308 Austrian green tipped...

So Tom, you're saying the bolt latch lock may be worn and /or the spring tension for the latch may not be what it should be?........bh

Re: New to the Forum, Problems with my MG34

TomH, what an indepth explaination. My 2-brain cells are having trouble grasping it all! .. I do know that in Daniel W. Kent's book, 'German 7.9mm Ammunition', he talks about the primer popping out problem with the MG-34 in the 30s.....Their solution was to change the primer, and to punch the primer...

Re: what is this?

....on the 'kal.13' cleaning kit.....I am not an expert on german anti-tank rifles of either WWI/II....When I saw the large kit in the photo, I recall seeing many times at the Patton Museum the Mauser made 13mm anti-tank rifle on display, and thought it would have been issued to the crews of that we...

Re: how hot?

Can't have the bacon stick~! .....Some of us WWII re-enactors used Olive Oil Pam to break in new leather, like the new-made slings for the 34/42, etc..... ......On the Jungle Walk course during the MG shoot at KCR, with run after run, we use Pam on the Uzi, to lube action & cool the barrel. Re: how hot?

DI you are right;..> dropping the hot barrel into water may cause it to bend as you say......Lay the hot barrel in the open barrel carrier, and I used to spray oil onto it, & let it cool....Now I spray a non-chemical spray ,'Olive oil Pam' now. No flash flame rising up and I spray away, & cools fast...

kal.13, for the 13mm anti-tank rifle that the german army had in the beginning of WWII.....It was Mauser manufactured....The Old Patton Museum had one on display.
It looks like a scaled-up cleaning kit in size from yout 98k rifle cleaning kit next to it.......bh

Re: how hot?

DA is right, change the barrel.....the german army of WWII stressed short controlled bursts with the 34 in the field, and also in training Fortress troops in the 1930s for posting in the West Wall, being most all MG mounts in the pillboxes and bunkers were designed for mounting the MG-34. Each MG ha...

New MG-34 F/P springs from Wolff springs..!

I wish! http://www.gunsprings.com/home .....I have sent a couple of emails to 'Wolff', asking them to make new F/P springs for the MG-34 bolt. As you guys know, we are dealing with old 50 + year old springs, and you are lucky to find a spring that is not all depressed out there in the mg-parts marke...
