Yugo M52 Lafette

Back in 2010, Orin Harding, 762x51, was working on a translation of a Yugo manual on the M52 Lafette. He posted some pages of the Manual ( in Yugoslav) as a "show and tell" I downloaded the pages and just came across them doing a new hard drive and wondered if he had ever gotten it done. I have trie...

Spring Length

I know that this has been beaten to death over the years, but does someone have a WORKING re-build on a 43/53 kit that can tell me the length of the main spring they are using?? I am down to that point. I am using one of Pirates bolts and a FAL grip stick conversion. I will be using it with both 7.9...

Re: MG42 AA tripod ID.

With a NSN stock number on it, 12 is Germany, it is for the MG-3 series before they did away with the AA Tripod. There is no issue AA tripod for them in the German army at this time.

Re: Shooting cast bullets in mg42

I have an Article by J. Curtis Earl about using Cast bullets in various MGs. He did the article in the 60-70s when the "cost of ammo was up to .07 cents a round" and he wanted a cheaper form of ammo for his business. He worked up loads for 30-06, 8mm, 7.62 NATO, .30 carbine, 9mm and .45 Auto. All in...

Re: Tank ID Help request?

Looking in the book M4 Sherman by George Forty, on page 62 is a side shot of a M4A1 in British service in the Desert.

It is the closest thing I can find in the book with the cast hull and turret.

Hope that helps,

Can some one tell me about the SARCO MG42 Lafette they are selling?? I was wondering if they are original or Yugos? What kind of condition are they in, complete,etc........I am not worried about it being a Yugo re-build as I am going to use it for my Semi and just want to have a correct one............

Re: MG08 Original Belt Preservation

I would think that it must be early war or pre-war, as they changed to steel to conserve the brass. I use the "seal a meal" bagging for a lot of things, manuals, small parts, webbing, etc. and it works great

P.S. and the wife even uses it for food ! ! ! ! ! :D
