Re: lube
Try LPS 2...best I have ever used... LPS 3 is also available but can be a bit heavy in some guns. Leaves a waxy coating for protection as well.

MG34 7.62 feed tray.....
Does anyone have the spec's for converting the MG34 7.92 feed tray to 7.62 NATO??
Just want to save some time and trouble.
Also, anyone have any data on shortening the ejection port to cure the spinning case syndrome that ends up causing a jam when the cartridge case goes back into the action.

WTB: MGz 34 scope dovetail base
Looking for the dovetail base for a MGz34 scope. Repro or original...not fussy right now. Or, does anyone know someone who has made up some. Apparently the missing base is not uncommon.
TIA.
TIA.

Need a MGz 34 scope base measurement
Could someone with a MGz34 scope give me the distance from the top of the dovetail in the scope body to the bottom of the scope mount dovetail that fits in the mount. I have a scope missing the dovetail and looks like I am going to have to make one and that is the only dimension that is not known. L...

MGZ 34 scope dovetail base
Some time ago there was a discussion on the board here regarding someone who was going to make a small run of the base for the MGZ 34 scope. I find myself needing one, and if there is a spare I'd sure love to buy one. I have a decent MGZ 34 scope but the base is gone..:-(## Anyone help me or even wi...

MG 42 (or) 34 A leg in use.
Has anyone ever seen a photo of the AA lg on either the 42 or 34 layfette in combat use ?? I have a WW II picture of the Bren gun in the AA configuration but never can recall seeing a 42 or 34 in AA use.

Re: Some Parts!
"Knowingly will NOT be OVERSOLD !!!! " I remember once being in a dealers office when they had just received a lot of WW II pocket pistols from a well known dealers clear out. One person sat in a chair and dictated a history for each pistol as to where it was captured and by what regiment while the ...

Re: MG42 woodend butt markings
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v76/62956/th_DSC00313.jpg Picture of three butts attached and they do not appear to be YUGO. I've had them too long and know where they come from, but they are still a mystery with no markings of any sort. Even the metal is unmarked and I have stripped them clean.....

Re: MG42 woodend butt markings
The lack of markings is what has thrown me. Two of the guns were in the grease when I got them (the last one a few weeks ago) and all have the varnish finish on the wooden stocks but no markings I can see. My 34 has markings all over the place but nothing on the 42's. I don't thin the butts are Yugo...

MG42 woodend butt markings
Has anyone got a wooden 42 with any markings on the butt?? I have three and not one has a marking that is discernible. All three are excellent plus and retain about 90% finish yet I cannot find a marking anywhere that I would say is a "marking". No waffenampts ..nothing.
Anyone???

A large number of them were made in India some years ago, but the courners were buffed round and you could tell they were not german workmanship. Waffenampt stamps are available at most surplus shops in many of the eastern countries... Caveat emptor...
