Re: Headspacing factory 762x51 barrels

Excellent, thank you for the reply sir. I called it the striker sleeve because I think that is what 42rocker frequently called the firing pin holding part. Firing pin holder makes more sense to me anyway. That's exactly what I wanted to know. All go, and even the no go and field gauges have the roll...

Re: Receivers from BRP

This is an excellent thread. Keep up the good work rodom and der alder. The shortcuts and current build tutorial are extremely helpful. Can't wait to see how der alder does his cuts and drills his holes. :cheer:

Re: Want to refinish my MG42. Options?

I think getting it parkerized would look really cool. Bluing looks really nice and I'm sure you could find a competent gunsmith to do it, I just think the MG42 would look mean in black! 8) Not only that but parkerized finish is stronger than bluing.

Buffer cam pieces, clean up or buy new?

Hi builders. In my kit, my upper and lower buffer cam piece are a mess, rivets in them and such. Did you clean yours up for your build or buy new? I noticed apex has new clean ones for sale on their site.

If you cleaned yours up, how did you go about it?
