bvu marked MGZ 34

I just picked up this bvu marked MGZ 34 today. It came complete with sun filters as well. Very pleased and can't wait to try it on my Lafette. Interesting that Folke hasn't seen any bvu marked MGZ sights. This is from the March auction from Rock Island that ended last week. Box Front.jpg Box Top.jpg...

Boresighting the MG 34

Hello all, I was looking through my "Universal Machineguns" book and read the article describing the boresight process for the MG 34 and 42. Since the actual tools to boresight the MG 34 are terribly hard to find, is it possible to boresight the gun and MGZ using the field expedient method...

MGZ 34 Lens Filters

I was looking at a friends collection recently and saw that he had two lens filters in the case for his MGZ 34. How rare are these? I have never specifically looked for them, but don't recall seeing any for sale separately. In a search I was able to find a set at The Collector's Guild. https://www.g...

2 MG34 Receivers for sale

Hello all, I would like to sell these MG34 torch cut receivers. I am looking for 450 shipped for both of the receivers. Both receivers have the ejector plate still attached. Both receivers have the cams installed, however the welds are very close to or cutting the cams. To my untrained eye, these lo...

Headspacing the MG34

Hello, does anybody have a Fosters field gauge and a Stahlpatrone 62.3 that they have used for headspacing? I am curious if they are different lengths. I have the Foster gauge and am curious if getting a Stahlpatrone is worth the money if I can find one. I was finally able to read how to properly he...

Re: Replacing Mg34 extractor.

Here is a thread with a picture of how to use one. It looks like IMA is sold out of them, but you can find them pop up on GB every once and a while. Hope this helps.

Re: Yugo M52 Lafette

I saved pages 64-71, 73-75, and 77-82 of the Lafette disassembly manual that Orin posted. Not sure why I had page gaps, but I would assume that the pages that aren't there weren't in the files he posted. I can add those here if you guys would like and with Orin's permission.

Re: Something Special we have been working on...

That is pretty cool. What all has to be swapped out? I would imagine just a modified feed tray and new barrel. Its a little more complex than that. Although we did not modify any springs to get the action to cycle the x39 has a lot less @ss. It does run standard 8mm links.. Thats pretty nice. Looki...

Drilled MG42 Barrels

Hello,
Does anybody know where to get some MG42 barrels that have the 3 demill holes drilled into them? I am looking for a couple for a display and figured this would be a more economic way than buying live barrels. Thanks,
Brian

Replacing Barrel Collar

Hello, after reading here that Israeli barrel collars run the risk of cracking and destroying the gun while shooting, I have decided to look into changing the barrel collars of my Israeli barrels. How hard is it? Is it worth the hassle or should I just keep them as is for display purposes? Will I ha...

MG34 in .308 with blanks

Hello,
Has anybody here tried to fire the black plastic blanks in a MG34? I was thinking of getting one of the conversion kits and using my Guiette BFA. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks,

Privi Partisan in TNW 34?

Hello,
I was wondering if the commercial 198gr FMJ Privi works well in semi 34s. I have read things going both ways with it, and would just like to double check before I buy a bunch of it and it doesn't work. I am talking about the 8mm Mauser commonly sold here, not the JS. Thanks,
Brian
